Book Club: Digital Minimalism

Date(s):
Friday, January 28, 2022 - 12:00pm to Friday, March 25, 2022 - 1:00pm
Location:
Online in Zoom

We’ve spent the last year and a half amping up the technology in our lives, hopefully for the better. But most of us would probably agree that some of the frazzle and fatigue we feel is coming from our increased screen time and the blurring of work-life balance lines. It’s nice to have learned some more flexible ways to work, but it comes at a cost. We’ve suddenly filled our metaphorical shopping buggy with all the technical things. Is it time to sort through and put some of them back on the shelf, for ourselves, and maybe even for our students?

If you’re feeling this, you may be interested in the New York Times Bestseller Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport (author of Deep Work). Our spring book group will gently meet just three times to float and chat about how we might declutter our digital lives at work, at home, or wherever. Registration Link

The book club will meet from 12:00-1:00pm on the following days:

  • January 28, 2022
  • February 25, 2022
  • March 25, 2022
