diversity treeAppalachian State University's Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Willie Fleming would like to extend an invitation to all faculty, staff, and administrators to attend the Second Annual Summer Diversity Inclusion Infusion Institute.

In collaboration with Chief Diversity Officer Ricardo Nazario y Colón of Western Carolina, the Summer Diversity Inclusion Infusion Institute will provide information on the various ways the campus community can encourage inclusionary practices and relationships that support a state of being valued, respected, and supported.

The Second Annual Summer Diversity Inclusion Infusion Institute has two integrated goals:

  • To infuse inclusionary language into the curriculum
  • To explore bias, micro-aggression and macro-aggression.
