Date(s):
Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 9:30am to 10:45am
Location:
218 Anne Belk Hall, CAE Classroom 222

With the STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) acronym having so many meanings and implications, it is often difficult to develop shared meanings on which to base teaching and learning.  In this session, facilitators will share a framework based on student practices that orient STEM not only on the intersection of the disciplines but also on the ways of thinking and habits of mind that are essential for STEM learning. Such an orientation provides openings for inclusivity and diversity of thinking about the STEM fields and various cultural approaches and contexts.
