With the Pandemic, faculty, staff and students are spending more time in Zoom meetings. For classes, many faculty find it challenging when participants turn off their cameras. It feels like talking to an empty room. Students may want to turn off their cameras for a variety of reasons including poor internet access, lack of a private setting or just general fatigue. Dr. Lindsay Masland on our campus has created a resource which assists instructors in thinking about camera use in Zoom. Essentially it's a flowchart to aid in decision making related to course goals and how to increase camera use without policies.
