Innovating with learning technology

With continuing advances in learning technology and the move to more hybrid and online courses in education today, teachers have the opportunity to take advantage of the different learning experiences technology has to offer. While many instructors are already using learning management systems and other online learning tools for their course material and activities, these technologies can take learning to the next level by making it more student-centered and by providing interactions that are not available or the same as those in a face-to-face environment.

Edutopia published an article on this very topic, and provided some case studies of teachers who are using technology in new and different ways to make a real impact in how their students learn. Providing multiple ways for students to access course content, and using video to present lesson plans so the teacher is available during class for one-on-one assistance are just some examples of teachers using technology in new and exciting ways in the classroom.
