The Quality Matters Course Development program is a professional development opportunity for faculty members who have experience teaching online, and are seeking to build upon their existing knowledge and skills to improve one of their online courses. During this process, faculty receive support designing/developing their courses using this nationally recognized program. Faculty interested in this process will begin by taking a Quality Matters course to become familiar with QM standards and expectations.
The OTEI is a ten-week, structured professional development experience addressing course design and development as well as focus on strategies for inclusive and engaging approaches to facilitate online learning. In this comprehensive course development institute, participants will engage with course materials, meet in small teams, and ultimately complete the development of a complete online course.
